Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.

Birthday Excitement

For my fourteenth birthday, I got a remote controlled airplane from my parents. I flew it in the back yard, but had the problem of getting it stuck in trees or on the roof. We went to a park with an open field in it, so I could fly it there, but it was very windy. When the wind died down I launched the plane and it started flying. Then, the wind whipped up again, and blew it far back into some woods, near the National Guard Armory! I wanted to retrieve the plane, so Tim and I went into the woods to search for it. It was difficult to get through from the start, because the woods were thick with vines and thorns. Finally, we got to a place that was not so thick. We found the tree where we had seen the plane go down, and looked around a little. I wanted to go back, giving the plane up for lost. However, Tim pressed on. He went down another passageway, and spotted the airplane on the ground. Only the Lord could have put it there, because it could have been easily caught in a tree branch, far out of reach. Finally, we retrieved my airplane and pushed our way back. That was a great adventure!
