Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.

Rescued

This last year seems to have been the year-of-the-Christian-film.

Having already posted high praise for both Divided and Indoctrination, we now invite you to view yet another thought provoking documentary that has blessed our family – Rescued: The Heart of Adoption and Caring for Orphans.

Making the case that adoption is an important part of spiritual warfare, Rescued highlights the biblical calling to “visit orphans and widows in their trouble” (James 1:27) and seeks to answer such questions as – Why doesn’t the church at large speak much about adoption? How can the church come along side of adoptive families? What do adoption and missions have in common?

Giving glimpses into the lives of several adoptive families across the country (including two dear families from our own church community), Rescued shows how God has used adoption to grow His people in their faith and reliance upon Himself and has used their act of welcoming a child into their home to paint a picture of God’s marvelous salvation to mankind. His is the ultimate adoption story – how a perfect, holy, righteous God set His love upon sinners who hated Him and transformed them into children of God.

Please do not miss this beautiful and inspiring film; its message is true. Adoption is not charity; it’s warfare.
