Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.

The Gingerbread House

We have been purposing to make a gingerbread house for at least a year...it didn’t work out last year. We finally acquired the ingredients for it this year and baked all the pieces. It didn’t quite work out quite like we were hoping, but since it was our first try, we didn’t cry too hard. Our biggest issue was that we had to hold the pieces together until the icing was firm enough to actually keep the house up. This caused the house not to quite line up on all the edges. Then, before the roof was on, someone picked one of the roof pieces up and it broke in half. We ‘glued’ it back together, but it didn’t stick, so we ate it and put the front roof on but left the back bare. It was fun to work together on it.
