Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.

Driving To New Jersey

According to Elijah (age 8):

This August we drove up to New Jersey to visit some of our family and friends. The ride up north was mostly quiet because Matthew, I and Susannah were listening to Doctor Doolittle.

We got stuck on the Nice Bridge in between Virginia and Maryland. We stayed there two billion hours (or that's what it felt like!).

When we were in Delaware Matthew and I tried not to blink because it was so small.

I was excited to be going to New Jersey because I like to visit my grandparents.

When we reached New Jersey we drove through our old neighborhood in Cherry Hill and saw our house.

Then we drove to the shore and stopped at the Stafford Diner. I had a hamburger but I couldn't finish it because I ate so many snacks in the car on the way up.
