Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.

Christmas Cookies

Matthew and his tongue, hard at work

The children enjoyed one of our yummiest traditions on Christmas Eve - making sugar cookies. Big brother Josiah made the dough the night before so that the children could roll out their favorite shapes. Stars, candy canes, gingerbread men, and the words Bah Humbug soon covered our baking trays - sprinkled with way too much colored sugar!

Matthew's handiwork - he's not a Scrooge, despite the phrase

Sweet Susannah

Our children have a thing about working with their tongue hanging out

Most of the sugar made its way to the cookies...

Jenna Beth quickly figured out the best part of the whole routine
