Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.

Our Great-Grandmother

This past April, our Grandfather told us all about our great-grandmother - his mother - and shared a great many pictures with us. I eagerly snapped some shots and for being photographs of photographs, they didn't turn out too badly. We love old pictures and thought perhaps some of readers might enjoy seeing ours.

Though she was born Mary Pauline Burns, our great-grandmother went by the name Pauline or simply 'Paul', because her father had wanted her to be a boy. Her only sister Elizabeth was nine years older than she.
