Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.

Hospitality

I've just finished an excellent little book by Alexander Strauch called, The Hospitality Commands. Easy to read and less than 60 pages long, Mr. Strauch clearly defines the essence of biblical hospitality and argues from Scripture the importance of practicing it in our daily lives.

Having experienced the joys and benefits on both sides of hospitality, - as guests and also hosts- I highly recommend this delightful book for your own reading. Opening our homes to both friends and strangers in the name of Christ Jesus has sadly become a lost practice in many Christian circles. May this book, and the Scriptures that it references, inspire us to change our hearts and to show true love to the neighbors that come our way.
