Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.

Meet Albert

... Albert the Toad.

With the warmer weather upon us, Mama has been busy planting in the family garden with Matthew as her master earthworm supplier. He loves to dig in the dirt to find earth worms to turn our soil for us. The other day while helping in the vegetable garden, Matthew found two toads - a small one and a larger one. Tiny toad got away, but Matthew was able to catch the larger one and named him Albert.

Matthew put Albert in a jar (after he poked holes in the lid so that Albert could breathe) to keep him until Daddy came home from work. Once Daddy saw and admired Albert, Matthew set the toad free.

Susannah and Elijah also thought it was very exciting to have a live toad for a few hours. Never mind the fact that they love to ham it up for the camera.

I'm sure that we enjoyed Albert's visit more than he did, but who knows - maybe he'll just come back again to say, "Hello."
