As of Saturday, Josiah became the first Orrkid to officially leave home for an extended period of time. Six months, to be precise.
After much consideration and prayer, Josiah applied and was accepted to be a part of the NCFIC's Intern program. As an Intern he, along with four other guys, will have the wonderful opportunity to be discipled by godly men and leaders; travel the country as he helps with conferences; learn theology; and help to communicate the NCFIC's central message: the doctrine of the sufficiency of Scripture.
We are so excited for Josiah and praying that he will excel in all that the Lord puts before him. If you think of him, please pray for his endurance, safety, and diligence. Being an Intern isn't exactly a 'walk in the park', and even though he'll be living just across town Mama is already missing her boy.
Before he left, we snapped a few 'farewell photos'.
Well, more than a few...
Just what a teenage boy wants... parents kissing him.
His littlest sister will miss him...
.... probably more than his big-little brother...
Photo Translation: "Oh yeah! I'll have my own room when he's gone!"
(Ethan texts Josiah the most though - brotherly love does exist : )
Off he goes...
