Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.

Backtracking: Kentucky Here We Come!

December 9, 2009~

The car was packed; the children were buckled; and the Gary Orr family was on the road, headed for the Cincinnati area to attend the NCFIC's Sufficiency of Scripture conference!

Although we left several hours later than our planned departure time, the family was so thankful to be on the road at all that December afternoon. The day before, Dad arrived home from work early with a fever and in no condition to travel. After many vitamin C packets; hours of rest for Dad; and work for the children and Mom (who had to pack up the family belongings without help from Anna-Rebekah who had left for Cincinnati the day before), the family was able to launch that Wednesday afternoon from North Carolina. The Lord was so good to not only allow Dad to recover, but to allow him to recover in time to caravan with a dear family from church.

We made the drive up without any problems along the way, arriving late that evening at the home of the a sweet and hospitable couple in Kentucky who were kind enough to open their home to us and two other families from our church. As we fell asleep that night, we were so thankful for the opportunity to attend this wonderful conference, and very excited for what the next few days would bring...

We like to travel in style, with luggage, luggage everywhere!
