Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.

Another New Jersey Visit

This past weekend, we headed north for a brief 'hit & run' visit with our Grandfather Orr to celebrate his 80th birthday. Grandfather's birthday is really in February, but due to the heavy snowstorms that hit the east coast this winter, we delayed our visit 'til the warmer weather came.

On the way up we had a wonderful visit with our Meemom and Uncle Jake over a delicious dinner - unfortunately, though, there are no pictures from this, so you'll just have to take our word for it!

We stayed with some dear 'old' friends, the L. family, who were kind enough to let us invade their beach-front home on Saturday evening.

Sunday morning, before we left for Grandfather's shore house, we took a quick walk on the beach just outside of the L.'s home. The young children especially were excited to feel the sand and see the ocean - which, of course, was much to cold to play in!

Mama wanted Jenna Beth to look at the ocean and the sand, but Jenna Beth - who has never been to the beach before - was not terribly interested.

More posts about Grandfather's birthday visit to come!
