Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.

Yahweh is Gracious

Jenna's birth is a witness to our Lord's grace, love, mercy, and faithfulness. The promise of her birth was given to us almost immediately following several intense months of trials and testings on several different fronts. The Bible gives us assurance that children are a blessing, and as a family of now eleven on earth, we know this to be true. The whole family was so joyful at the news of a new baby on the way. It cannot be denied that having a large family does indeed take faith and it is almost never easy to surrender and rely solely on the Lord for provision. Nevertheless, the Lord is good and has continually been teaching us that it is better to trust in Him than in any other source - this lesson has rang true especially in the months prior to Jenna's birth.

God's gift of life is truly a miracle and we are so thankful for our little Jenna Beth. The Lord was gracious to all of us - primarily Yvonne- during the entire childbirth process. Though it was not exactly on our schedule, it was on His. He was so good to us, even allowing Jenna to be born in '09 (the due date was December 31st) so that the insurance would cover the entire medical bill. It took some time to get little Jenna into this world, but once it happened, it happened fast! What an answer to ours -especially mom's! - prayers. Below is a time-line of Yvonne's initial contractions the morning of the -th, to Jenna's birth in the wee hours of the -th. Thank you all for your prayers they are truly cherished.
