Last week our family spent our first 'real' vacation in many years (one where we didn't have to see anyone, or be anywhere) and visited the first Carolina beach we've ever been to - Kure Beach. A sweet family from church had recently won a stay at a beach house in Kure through our local Crisis Pregnancy center's fundraiser, Walk for Life, and they decided to bless our family by giving their vacation to us. We were so blessed by this family's kind generosity to us and also by the hospitality of the Doctor who owned and loaned the house's use. This vacation was truly a gift of grace to our family and what a relaxing time it was. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beach, refreshed by the time spent doing fun activities together as a family.
We visited the beach twice and had a marvelous time amidst the sand and the waves. We swam in the later afternoons and early evenings, so we had it practically to ourselves, as far as beaches go : ).
"Last week we went to the Beach. I thought it was so fun! I liked swimming with daddy in the ocean. Bekah and I jumped over the waves; when I got hit by the waves I got hit by rocks. I liked finding shells."

"At the saltwater beach I jumped over a wave with daddy and got hit by rocks and shells - only little rocks and big and little shells. I lost one of my green shovels in the water which made me sad. But playing with the other beach toys made me happy. I like to dig in the sand; I dug holes in the sand and I builded sand castles with Matthew. I thought it was fun swimming in the ocean. And that's it."
