With a birthday too!
Elijah had a triple treat this year; firstly, he had a birthday - cause for celebration enough! Secondly, he had a birthday on a Sunday with all his friends along with his family. But to cap off both, Elijah had a birthday on Dessert Sunday!
Our church shares a fellowship meal after the service each and every Sunday which is a huge blessing because it allows us to interact as an entire church body and get to know one another even better while we grow together in the Lord. Once a month we each bring a dessert to share after the meal, which everyone loves. This year Elijah's birthday fell on that special Sunday. Elijah is very into cowboys - as were many brothers before him - so Mom decorated a special "Cowboy Cake" for him - as she has done for many brothers before him too. Elijah was so happy with his cake. Two other little children at church had a birthday right around the same time as Elijah, so after the entire church sang to them, Elijah shared his birthday cake and all three children blew out candles. What a cute sight.
Our cheerful Elijah had a very happy birthday.
